Each doctoral school has its own HDR (accreditation to direct research) committee. The missions of the HDR Committee are as follows:
Defining admission criteria for HDRs in the disciplines of its scope
Giving an opinion to the CAC (Competent Academic Council) research commission on HDR enrollment requests made to the relevant doctoral school
Giving an opinion to the CD3 (Doctoral Exemptions Commission) on thesis supervision without HDR exemption requests made to the relevant doctoral school
Examining requests for HDR affiliation to the doctoral schools (on request from the doctoral school deans)
The LLSH Doctoral School HDR committee consists of 14 members who are accredited to direct research and representative of the specialties covered by the doctoral school. The committee reserves the right to solicit an external expert if, in exceptional cases, it feels it is necessary.
